Head and Neck
Neck pain and headaches are commonplace among city workers, and yet treatment can help. At Pure Physio we use a range of techniques to relieve your symptoms and assist with establishing strategies to prevent recurrence. Your physiotherapy treatment may include mobilisation, manipulation, stretching, taping, remedial massage and dry-needling.
The preventative strategies will centre around improving your workstation setup, improving postural concerns and providing a structured rehabilitation program to address weak or tight areas. We also offer onsite workstation consultations if you are needing a little more help with your setup.
Examples of neck conditions we treat include: post surgical rehabilitation, disc problems, stiffness, facet joint dysfunction, neck related headaches, postural problems, acute sprains and strains, osteoarthritis and arm pain referring from the neck.
Shoulder
Shoulders can be tricky. That’s why Pure Physio uses video analysis and clear explanations to make sure you understand your injury and the reasons it came about. Whether you are recovering from surgery, trying to avoid surgery, or you simply have a dodgy shoulder, our physios will be able to assist you with a course of action.
Our rehabilitation gym is integral to our success in treating shoulders. Complementing our video analysis are full-length mirrors to closely monitor your positioning while we facilitate retraining of your shoulder movements. Of course, that’s not to downplay the importance of our hands-on treatment. Manual techniques to restore normal movement through your neck, back and shoulder forms an important part of your recovery.
Examples of shoulder conditions we treat include: post surgical rehabilitation, tendon impingement, bursitis, acute sprains and strains, postural problems, rotator cuff dysfunction, rotator cuff tears, AC joint injuries and post fracture rehabilitation.
Elbow, Arm and Hand
Busy people with busy schedules frequently put up with symptoms for longer than they should. Pain, tingling or numbness around the elbow, wrist or hand can often be a sign of an over-use injury caused by overloading tendons, muscles or sometimes neural structures.
Our experienced physios will assess the injury site in detail and will also review your posture in order to highlight changes that may assist with symptom resolution and injury prevention.
Examples of elbow, wrist and hand conditions we treat include: tennis elbow, golfers elbow, post surgical rehabilitation, post fracture rehabilitation, bursitis, post dislocation, acute sprains and strains, postural problems, tendonitis, RSI and RSD.
Back
Pure Physio offers expert assessment and management of back pain through our highly skilled physiotherapists and our well-equipped rehabilitation studio.
Our approach of hands-on physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation delivers lasting results for back sufferers. We provide a range of treatments to manage your back pain including manipulation, mobilisation, remedial massage, stretching, dry-needling and taping.
Preventing recurrence of back pain is a challenging task. Within 12 months, 80% of people experience a second episode of low back pain. At Pure our physios have the skills and facilities to create a complete, comprehensive program to minimise your chance of recurrence and get you back to work and sport.
Examples of back conditions we treat include: post surgical rehabilitation, disc problems, sciatica, stiffness, facet joint dysfunction, sacro-iliac joint dysfunction, osteoarthritis, acute sprains and strains, postural problems, leg pain referring from the back, scoliosis, spondylosis, spondylolisthesis, post fracture rehabilitation and pregnancy related back pain.
Hip and Groin
Differentiating between hip pain, groin pain and low back pain can be extremely difficult. Our initial one-hour physiotherapy appointments provides our physios with the time required to systematically assess and treat these complex problems.
Better still, in our rehabilitation gym, we can guide you through a preventative program to help stop your injury recurring. Pure Physio tailors treatment programs to help you achieve your goals, be they high level, or lunchtime running!
Examples of hip and groin conditions we treat include: post surgical rehabilitation, post fracture rehabilitation, acute sprains and strains, muscle dysfunction and back pain referring into the hip or groin.
Knee
Knee pain is a common symptom arising either through a direct injury, such as twisting playing football, or presenting more gradually over time.
Our physios have experience in diagnosing and treating both acute knee injuries and those that have been long standing. We can also help you regain your normal range of movement, strength and balance in your knee following surgical intervention.
Our comprehensive approach to rehabilitation is effective at resolving some of the more difficult and stubborn knee conditions. At Pure Physio we will tailor your treatment plan to suit your lifestyle. Not everyone wants to run marathons, but if you do, we will help you get there!
Examples of knee conditions we treat include: post surgical rehabilitation, post fracture rehabilitation, patello-femoral syndrome, ITB syndrome, tendinopathies, acute sprains and strains, meniscus injuries and muscle dysfunction.
Foot and Ankle
Video analysis of walking and running is an important part of our physiotherapy assessment process and helps highlight the causes of foot and ankle pain. Once a clear diagnosis has been made, your physio will discuss a treatment plan designed to resolve your symptoms and to prevent a recurrence.
This may involve orthotics, modifying your footwear or a combination of mobilisation, stretching, remedial massage, taping, dry-needling and specific rehabilitation exercises. Our unique approach to assessment and treatment is particularly effective at combating achilles tendon pain and other persistent foot pain.
Examples of foot and ankle conditions we treat include: achilles tendon pain, plantar fasciitis, post surgical rehabilitation, post fracture rehabilitation, acute sprains and strains, muscle dysfunction and calf tightness.
